Hello. It’s Jill, and I have a confession to make.

I’ve been in a funk.

My funk started when my mom entered Hospice for pain management, never making it home. Mom passed on April 12.

It continued when my youngest son Joe went to Marine Corps boot camp—a 17-week journey of letter writing (no phone calls!), fraught with his injuries and homesickness that ripped my mama heart out every day.

My funk was grief, really. Grief, while necessary, is a bitch.

Try as I might, I couldn’t focus on much. I stopped writing. I couldn’t finish reading any book, often abandoning it after 50 pages. I poured every ounce of energy into one thing I knew I could keep going—Virtual Networkers. Everything else—my marketing programs and classes, the books I wanted to read and write, blogging, videos—it all went to the back burner.

There were times when I thought I would never emerge from my funk. I thought about getting a job because I wasn’t making money.

Falling back in love

In August, my money mindset coach Denise Duffield-Thomas opened the doors to her course, Sacred Money Archetypes. I enrolled in her course, as a last-ditch effort to save my business and restore my mindset.

As I dove into the content, it was like falling in love. Or perhaps, more accurately, it was like falling back in love. The spark was lit: I love being an entrepreneur, and I wanted to be a successful, prosperous Loud Woman! I didn’t want to give up my business and dreams! The funk began to chip away, slowly at first, before tumbling away in big heaps.

And now with immense relief, I am declaring: I am back, and it feels so good!

Over the weekend, I got a big download from The Universe. Here’s the nutshell version:

I wrote a book called Loud Woman, and it’s time to grab this title by the horns and show the world how Loud I can be.

Hot damn! Jilly’s back!

And now that I’m back, I am ready to lean deeply into my purpose: To ignite the Loud Woman spark in every woman entrepreneur I can reach. Why? Because I believe, without a shadow of a doubt, that women entrepreneurs are here to change the world. To do so, we must get Louder. We must have a Loud Woman mindset.

If you’re not sure how to adapt this Loud Woman mindset, or even what it is, I am here for you. I will teach you, sharing my life lessons so you can propel yourself on your journey, boldly, imperfectly, and Loudly.

What’s next for this Loud Woman?

Three words: Loud Woman mentoring.

Yes, I will begin mentoring women again on a one-to-one basis. I am finalizing the details now, and I can’t wait to reveal all the details.

In addition to mentoring, here are some other projects I’m working on:

• Writing a companion workbook for Loud Woman
• Attracting six or more women entrepreneurs to Virtual Networkers by year end. And then by the end of 2023, I’ve set the intention to have 100+ Virtual Networkers.
• Blogging every week (I so missed this…)
• Creating a new course, undoubtedly related to Loud Woman—maybe for entrepreneurs. Still mulling this over!
• More vacations. I love to travel. With Joe in the Marines Corps, we hope to visit him at his various schools and permanent duty stations. Interestingly, I make more money when I go on holidays. Win, win!
