How To Get More Clients in 2022

It’s 2022, and I have a question for you: Would you like more clients this year?

If you answered yes, this is the blog post for you. I have broken down the two-part marketing strategy you need to implement this year. Follow this exact strategy, and you will get clients!

How To Get More Clients in 2022

The two-part strategy is not two steps. It’s more of a simultaneous action. Think of the first part as a left foot and the second part as a right foot, working together to move you toward your income goals.

Part 1: Increase visibility

The first part of this strategy is to increase your visibility in front of your ideal clients. You do this by leveraging your audience and the audience of others.

On the graphic, I spell out some of the visibility tactics you can incorporate this year. This is not a complete list. Also, it is not a to-do list, meaning you don’t have to do all of these visibility tactics. I would select the two or three you want to implement (the ones that bring you the most joy), and stick with those tactics for the first six months, making sure to measure and assess so you know how you’re doing.

  • Content marketing
  • Media/podcasts
  • Book
  • Social media
  • Direct mail
  • Ads
  • Affiliates
  • Referral partners
  • Sponsorships
  • Promo products

If you need clients right away, as in “I am experiencing a major cash crunch!”, networking and speaking are two to consider. Networking and speaking increase your visibility very quickly.

Your assignment: Review the list of visibility tactics and highlight two or three you want to implement.

Part 2: Increase Your Know, Like, Trust (KLT) Factor

Once your ideal clients get exposed to you through your visibility marketing, it’s time to get them to know, like, and trust you. Once they know, like, and trust you, they will purchase from you.

On this graphic, I outline many ways you can build your KLT Factor. Again, this is not a comprehensive list, and it’s not a must-do-all list either. Like you did with your visibility tactics, select a few that you want to implement (again, think about what would bring you joy).

  • Direct mail
  • Following up
  • Website
  • Lead magnet
  • Testimonials
  • Coffee dates

You will notice that the first seven tactics are the same on both lists. That’s because these marketing tactics are two-for-one powerhouses. They increase your visibility and KLT Factor at the same time. If you like to be extra efficient, want to conserve your time and energy, and/or are in a cash crunch, consider any of the first seven tactics listed:

  1. Networking
  2. Speaking
  3. Content marketing
  4. Media/podcasts
  5. Book
  6. Social media
  7. Direct mail

Your assignment: Review the list of KLT Factor activities and highlight three you want to implement.

#3: Your next step

Once you have selected your visibility tactics and KLT Factor activities, it’s time to get to work. Grab your calendar, and plan out when you’ll do the tactics and activities you’ve selected. Implement imperfectly.
